Audit small-business websites with an agent crew, gate every send and publish, and re-verify before outreach
An experiment where AI agents audited 154 small-business sites and built static sites under strict approval gates, with a verifier that found a third of its sampled audits cited problems already fixed.
Evidence: The author reports this. We have not checked it beyond reading the source.
The business problem
An agency-style service wants to find prospects with real website problems and send accurate audits without agents spending money, sending mail or publishing unchecked.
What was tried
Five roles (chief of staff, market researcher, site builder, outreach and compliance, verifier) each operate under five gates: no spending, drafts queued instead of sent, no submissions, no publishing or domain changes, and every factual claim needing a source and check date. A script audited the homepages of 154 businesses in 21 cities, and 78 with real issues got a one-page mini-audit. Before the first batch a verifier re-checked 30 audits against live sites and found 10 cited problems already fixed, so checks are run as late as possible in a fresh session. A script also turns a brief into plain static pages for hosting.
What was reported (mixed)
Revenue is $0. Ten emails were sent by hand after a scripted send timed out, 18 more are drafted, and replies, calls and search results are not yet measured.
Limitations
Results are early and self-reported with no costs, replies or conversions, and the author says some parts have not worked yet without detail. The verification breakdown covers only 12 of 30 audits. The page does not show a year, and the post links a playbook that was not reviewed. Contacting businesses by email has compliance implications that are not discussed here.
What you need
An agent setup able to run scripts, a hosting account for static pages, and a list of businesses with published contact details. Costs are not stated.
