Automate Friday client reports for a marketing agency with n8n, GA4, Search Console, Meta Ads and Claude
An automation engineer describes an n8n workflow that pulls analytics, search and ad data each Friday, has Claude write a plain-English comparison with the prior week, and emails clients a Google Doc.

The business problem
Agencies spend hours each week per client pulling metrics, formatting reports and answering quick-update emails.
What was tried
A Friday morning trigger pulls Google Analytics 4 data, Search Console rankings and Meta Ads campaign performance. All the raw data goes to Claude (listed as claude-sonnet-4-6) with a structured prompt that includes the agency's tone-of-voice guidelines, asking it to compare this week with last week, flag anomalies, and highlight wins and issues in language non-technical clients understand. The output is formatted into a Google Doc and a link is emailed to the client.
What was reported (positive)
The author says weekly report work falls from an estimated three to four hours per client (a figure from conversations with agencies) to under 20 minutes, and that clients send fewer quick-update emails. No counts are given.
Limitations
The time saving is an estimate, not a measured result, and the 'zero manual work' claim is unqualified. The post does not cover accuracy checks of the AI narrative, error handling, costs, client feedback on report quality, or the authentication setup, and the prompt is not shared. The page does not show a year.
What you need
n8n, a Claude API key and API access to GA4, Search Console, Meta Ads and Google Docs for each client, plus a report template and email setup.
