Draft a training course outline with Claude Projects: your own voice documents, 16 design questions, then edit every step
A learning and development professional loads her voice, expertise and story documents into a Claude Project, gives it her outline structure and about 16 design questions, and edits the draft outline and workbook text it returns.

The business problem
Building a training course from a blank page takes a long time, and generic AI output misses the learner and the expert's voice.
What was tried
Define the course aim, objectives, audience and rough content first. Load your own documents on voice, expertise, a story bank and the topic into a Claude Project. Give it your outline structure and about 16 design questions covering learner profile, prior knowledge, literacy, modules, activities and assessment type. Take the first-draft outline and edit it. Convert slide bullet points into workbook text and edit that too. Use it for activities, tests and assessments, objectives, a check for missing content, and recent research.
What was reported (not reported)
She calls it a massive time saver that cuts course creation time considerably. No figures are given.
Limitations
An interview in a curated series with no measurements. She says every output must be checked and edited because AI is not an instructional designer, that safety and compliance training needs strong human design because AI may miss content or mistranslate jargon, and that other AI tools she tried hallucinated or failed. She warns that AI-only onboarding can make new hires feel neglected and that rushing for quick results can produce poor training.
What you need
A Claude plan with Projects, your own source documents, and real subject expertise to judge the draft.
