Get a Monday analytics report by having a Claude skill read scheduled Google Analytics and Search Console exports

A newsletter writer has Google Analytics and Search Console email six CSV reports each Monday, and a Claude skill compares the week to the last and saves a visual report and the raw data to a dated folder.

The business problem

A solo publisher wants the same weekly view of traffic and search without opening dashboards or asking new questions each time.

What was tried

Six reports are scheduled in Google Analytics (traffic sources, landing pages, search queries, engagement) and delivered by email every Monday. When they arrive, the skill reads the attachments through Gmail access in Claude Code, compares this week with last week, builds an artifact with charts, tables and a summary, and saves everything to a dated folder to build a weekly history. If the standard reports are missing it inspects the files and writes a general movement report. The author chose scheduled exports over a connector so the dimensions and filters stay identical every week.

What was reported (positive)

In one example week the author found overall traffic down 11% while organic clicks rose 4%, impressions rose 8% and session duration rose 20%, and concluded the drop came from direct traffic, not search.

Limitations

The post is paid, so the exact report configuration, skill instructions and folder structure are hidden. Only one example week is shown, the author did not test the Analytics connector route, and claims that it works in other tools are unsupported. Costs are not stated.

What you need

Google Analytics and a verified, linked Search Console property, a Claude setup with access to the inbox that receives the reports, and scheduled report emails.
