Save AI-written customer replies in Gmail Drafts, flag missing facts and notify Slack before a person sends

An n8n builder shares a Gmail reply workflow that filters automated senders and leaves sending to a person. The linked JSON adds business context, missing-fact placeholders, draft checks and Slack notifications.

Evidence: The source shows its work: steps, screenshots, code or data you can inspect.

The business problem

A founder needs help drafting customer replies while keeping responsibility for the facts and the final send.

What was tried

Filter incoming automated messages. The shared template checks the thread for an existing draft before requesting a new reply. Supply your business FAQ and policies to its GPT-4o-mini call. The prompt asks for JSON and placeholders for missing facts; code also checks for those placeholders. Create a Gmail draft, alert Slack and log the draft in Sheets. If a draft already exists, flag that it may be stale. A person reviews and sends.

What was reported (not reported)

The author shares a workflow and inspectable JSON. No measured reply accuracy, handling time or customer results are reported; we have not run it.

Limitations

The template needs your own credentials, business context and channel IDs. Placeholders and a manual send do not establish factual accuracy. The source promotes a template website; no independent production evaluation is provided.

What you need

n8n, Gmail, an OpenAI API credential, Slack, Google Sheets and your FAQ or policies, as specified in the template.
